In the month of April, a story of interspecies friendship unfolds. A dog, while taking a walk on the beach, unexpectedly comes across a sea turtle laying her eggs. Out of curiosity, the dog approaches and watches over the mother turtle until she finishes laying her eggs and returns to the sea.
Every day, the dog returns to guard the turtle's nest, protecting it from seagulls and crabs that try to disturb it. And when the baby turtles finally hatch, the dog helps guide them safely back to the ocean.
What conversation transpired between the green sea turtle and the dog that no one could hear? What drove this dog to watch over and protect the baby turtles until they could safely make their way to the sea?
This performance, adapted from a true story that took place in Mexico, is reimagined within a Thai context, incorporating issues of environmental concern, justice, and animal rights. Presented in the form of Visual Theatre, it blends puppetry, shadow play, body movement, animated art, sound art, and live music to convey the dialogue between the land and the sea.
